Flower of the Jimson Weed, thses are becoming very popular and are sold over the internet. Cattle ranchers in the Americas hated them because they spread rapudly and took over grazing land. All parts of the plant are seriously piosonous and the Shaman in Mexico used them in rites of passage for young men, I suppose some were not able to be men after that! Taken at dusk with an off camera flash for main light and two flashlights for fill.

These are hallucinatory and I have heard that people drinking the boiled juice and have lost days and I am amazed too that there isn't a health warning when sold,this is a really nice image and the lighting sets it off well. regards Vincent.

nice portrait. I believe another name for this plant is Datura or Angels Trumpet? These plants are readily available for sale in garden centers and fruit stands etc, here in BC, Canada, and am always surprised that warnings aren't listed on the plants, about them being poisonous. There are types that have yellow and apricot coloured flowers also, as well as the white flowers.
