Elk by the Road

Thanks Art and Alan. Yeah, the road is distracting. I could try and clone out the road. We were literally 10 feet from this animal as we drove by. We were so close that I had to dial down the lens to 50mm to get him. (It was a 50-500mm lens).

C&C, This is a gorgeous photo with beautiful colors. His back on top is a tad overexposed but I think the exposure helped in making his antlers stand out better. The edge of the road in the bottom is a little distracting. Without the road there it would look more like a out in the woods shot.

C&C, This is a nice shot but I think the first is better. The only problem I see here is the hot spot on his back. It tends to stand out and distract the eye.

Nice shot - we have Elk now wheere I live, but they ball have radio collars and yellow ear tags.

Opening up this capture to the large image makes for an outstanding photograph. The composition is so pleasing to view. Great textures in this photo as well.
