Egret Standing on Palm Tree

The smaller cattle egret often perches in trees. But there is nothing more odd-looking than a large white egret in one - but it does happen.

Cool capture Vicki. It's funny that he appears to be facing into the fronds, like a young bird that was told to go stand in the corner for being bad. I know, it's funny how my mind works :-) Great shot no matter how you look at it, Don

Thank you Mary and Carol. I almost missed this one as we were outside talking to a friend when I saw it flying in my peripheral vision. Luckily I had time to run inside and get my camera and it "obliged" by waiting for me to return before flying off!
