I think it was the sports mode setting and the fact that I've taken similar shots through car windows, at speed. Yep, I like it. :)

hi jas well you right to a point, it was taken at 60mph in car with window down while my boss drove. i have a picture taken about 2 miles before this one was taken , am glad that you liked it ... what give it away?

Was it taken through the privacy glass of a car window, whilst moving along, that would act like a filter? Nice, moody shot. :)

alovely nope clue NO EXTRA EQUIPMENT ATTACHED TO THE CAMERA no filters just a fuji s5500 set on sports mode

Just a thought. Camera set up on tri-pod and you took this with a remote??? Or not even there. LOL I thought Alan might have had it with his guess.

Very nice shot of the morning light. It almost looks like the dust storms we have out here in the desert now and then. In the mornings at just the right time we have like An mirage, a optical illusion in which atmospheric refraction by a layer of hot air distorts or inverts reflections of distant objects where buildings and things look taller than they really are. The one power pole on the left distant looks to big.
