.hi alandra ..yes they fight over any scrap of food ..but during this time of year on this little part of the beach for about 2 weeks in may during the minus ..tides .these little fish which are called grunts ..the resemble bullheads except without the horns..come in and spawn during the low tides under or around the rocks .there is plenty of them there ..so plenty of food source ..they just think the other eagles catch is better and yummyer i guess ..makes for a very exciting eagle watching time ..thanks alex ..fella

amazing photos, Fella. Have never seen anything like this before. You wouldn't think they'd fight over such a small fish. Are they that hungry?
