About This Image

There are lots of these little fluffy things out in the desert. I've taken photos of about everything else in the desert so figured why not take one of these pretty desert things. They sort of remind me of dandelions. Thanks Chriss for getting the name of this plant for me..

Hi Beverly, Thanks for looking at my photo and leaving your nice comment. Hey Chriss, I forgot about changing the name and will do that shortly. I like the name desert dandelion a lot better than little desert fluffy LOL...

Hi Chriss, Thanks for your nice comment and for taking the time to look for the name of my plant. I forgot about changing the name. Now I guess I better do some more investigating. Maybe I will call it a Groundsel Dandelion LOL...

What a very nice image Alan, don't make any changes to the name of this plant just yet. Just had a look in my 'Field Guide To California' and it looks like a Desert Dandelion.

Hi Alandra, Jas, And Ann.. Thank You all very much for your great comments and help with naming my weed. Hey Alandra, I just did a image search and discovered like usual that there are different groundsels but one of the photos did look like the one out here. I will be changing the name of my photo. Thanks again for the help, I really appreciate it... It is fun how photography teaches us other things beside just taking photos.

What an unique and pretty little flower you have captured, Alan. I thought it was of the dandelion family too, Alan. It sure made for a very nice photograph.

I like your little desert fluffy, Alan. It's nice to see plants showing different stages of their life. I would agree with Alandra, that it is possibly a form of groundsel; the description in my book relates to what is shown in the photo'. :)

cute little plant, Alan. it looks like some type of "groundsel" that we get here, - maybe a desert form of groundsel.
