About This Image

Sheep are really hard to photograph. They are scared of everything - including their shadows. You need to be able to soom in quite a bit to get a decent shot. It didn't help that I was facing into the sun and that my cell phone kept going. Still, I like the way this sheep was standing looking at me.

Thanks Shirree and Carol for your comments. This sheep is not the best looking one in the country. They had not long ago been shorn. Yes, it is grass in the picture but they also use these paddocks for cropping so I suspect that there is part of last years crop also growing amongst the grass. I did notice there were some lambs further up the road so will have to make a point of trying to get some pics of them before they grow up too much. Will leave my cell phone at home though :-)

Sorry, I was probably the cell phone person. You did really well with a difficult subject. I think sheep are no where near as lovely as cows anyway. I like the texture of the grass (is it grass?) in this shot.
