ahaaa! I see my name mentioned here :) so thought I'd better reply. Well, with photos like this, of lovely Coleen, I'm happy to take some of the credit :) Am echoing all the other comments. And am glad you splurged on the lens, Steve.

Thank you, Lorraine and Beverly. Yes, eyes are important in a portrait, although the mystery of not being able to see the eyes can also be appealing! In this case, as Coleen's eyes are so sensitive to the sun, even if she hadn't been wearing shades in the other shot you still wouldn't have seen her eyes as she'd be squinting like mad!

Lovely portrait - have to agree about seeing one's eyes. Had there been no sunglasses in the other one, may have prefered that.
