About This Image

For three weeks before ChristmasI worked 11 hour days, 6 days a week as a Salvation Army "Kettle Driver", taking bell ringers to their stops, being sure they had what they needed, swapping out full kettles and even providing sandwiches. It was fun, but exhausting.

Bonzo Crunch asked the Salvation Army if he could volunteer as a ringer in exchange p his for promoting "The Greatest Show on Earth". He set up his bells at a local Michaels and had a great time for 4 hours, passing out red noses and circus coupons. Afterwards he gave me the rest of the box of noses and several of my ringers wore them with antlers for a "Rudolph" look that passers-by enjoyed.

Thanks Talsi - I really enjoyed working with the volunteers, and met some great people.

It was quite an experience, Don. Very hectic and extremely satisfying. The time flew so fast I never had a moment for my own Christmas Shopping til after!
