About This Image

A quick sketch of recently departed friend and nieghbour, Chas Beattie, grandad of 'Girl Without Glasses' ;a present for Pearl. Chas is an unsung hero of formula one racing; the cars he designed are still winning. I added this sketch to the 'ten tenths' website which includes photos of Chas's cars and discussion threads from car owners, race officials colleagues and friends.
Thanks for the encouraging comments; I hope to have some time to do more or perhaps find art related work to boost my faith.

That's an excellent portrait. I've never fully figured out how to draw something without smudging graphite all over the paper. Great picture!
