Thanks, folks. Watch out for those thorns! They really do hurt. I'm happy to say I've never gotten into them. I have trailed around jumping cholla on my pants legs, though.

You captured the beautiful shades of green so well. Every time I photograph cactus flowers I end up with thorns on my shirt that go right through the fabric. Ouch!

so interesting to someone who never sees this type of plant growing in the wild. what a contrast between the lovely flower and the thorns. lovely colours too
