thanks for the nice comments, Doug. Initially thought perhaps the curved part of the "perch" was distracting, so late last night attempted to remove it, then went further and further, wondering how the jay would look, minus the perch :) Didn't like my efforts, so ended up leaving the whole thing there. Also tried removing the twigs in the corner, but decided against that too. Now am glad I left it all there :)

Another stunning image Alandra! I particularly like the stationary body and the frantic feet! And the blue of the bird against the yellow autumn leaves is very satisfying.
