About This Image

This two-photo image shows the popular fishing pond known as Timothy Lake that the resort we're working at now was named after.

Don't try to find this location on a map or even a GPS - it's next to impossible - ask how many cell phone calls we get from frazzled guests trying to locate us for the first time!

Thank you Anne for your encouraging comment. Actually, the water is quite placid, but all the tree buds dropping on the surface and the reflection do give it a turbulent look. I had not thought of that. Vicki

What a beautiful panorama!!! It makes me long to be there - sharing the sights with you. *g* I loved those rocks - and what looked like to my old eyes - turbulent water. Whatever, it is simply great!! That deep blue water just called out to me and I sure did wish I could have been there. *g* Beautiful picture.

Thank you, Mary. Thank you for your comment - we haven't quite 'landed' yet for the winter - still not sure just where it will be this year! Vicki

I just saw this one too Vicki. I was going to ask if it was your winter quarters but read the above "heading back to Florida"! Beautiful scenery ....you did a great stitching job. :)

Hi Alandra. A fellow from New York called one day - he had reservations and was excited about fishing in this 'pristine mountain lake' . . . I hated to burst his bubble - Timothy Lake is actually man-made - visually pleasing - and great for fishing - but not suitable to swim in!

only just found this one, Vicki, it's very pleasing and caught my eye right away on What's Hot.

Hi Golda - this is a 'stitched' image. Two images creating a panorama - sometimes I get better detail if I take two or more images with a slight overlap and create a composite that way. Timothy Lake is so small it doesn't appear on most maps. It's man-made and visited regularly by deer, bear, wild turkey, wolverine, Canada Geese, Mallard and man! We have canoes which are popular on weekends. The offical name of the location we're at is Outdoor World - Timothy Lake. Vicki

This could very well be a painting of the elusive Timothy Lake and Resort.I'm not quite sure on the "two photo shot",or is that a trade secret.Anyway great image.
