Bleeding Hearts with the last rays of the setting sun giving them a luminous appearance. Captured while sitting on front patio, taking a break from gardening and hoping the hummingbird would drop by to bathe in the water bubbler nearby.

thankyou both, Jas and Janice, for the lovely comments. happy you like it. It does look pretty with the sun shining on it, also when the raindrops are on the flowers.

The lighting shows all the beauty of the dicentra blooms and accentuates the green of the foliage too! A very pretty picture! :)

that's very nice of you all, thanks very much, Anne, Carol and Lorraine for the encouraging comments. Did quite like the lighting on this image, and at the time it was captured. Taking it with the telephoto lens only gives you a small area of the image that's really sharp, so I cropped the sharpest part for this one. Carol, funny you should say that about the hummers, as one ventured up to one of the bleeding hearts a few days ago as I watched, and didn't bother to drink any nectar from it. Was quite surprised, as other years they have fed from those.

A wonderful composition on this photograph. The lighting filtering over the leaves and blooms give it so much enjoyment to view.
