About This Image

This image was taken with a film camera in color and then scanned to make a digital print. The image was first inverted then desaturated using the Green Channel only. It was then re-inverted and solarized and finally converted to a greyscale image at 13.2 MB and sized at 330x4200 pixels with a resolution of 300dpi. Printed on Epson velvet fine art paper on an Epson 2200 printer and printed using black ink only.

This is a fantastic image. You put alot of work into it and have a wonderful final result. Beautiful

Thanks, racepics. I printed it 11x14 and matted it at 16x20. Hope you are not having the trouble I am with color management. My prints don't come out with the same intensity as on the monitor and sometimes even the color is different or muddled. I use color management hardware and software but have to do a lot of tweaking in Photoshop to get the prints I want. Black and whites are fine as long as I use black only setting in the Epson profile, but if I use all the color cartridges, I don't usually like the results. I went to the Epson Academy when it was here in DC, but I guess it hasn't all sunk in.

Frank, GREAT job in all that you did. The epson did a very nice job. What size did you print. I'm just starting to use the 2200.
