About This Image

Bald Eagle with his prey, believe it's a duck or some type of waterfowl. Taken from a great distance. -- in the same area as the Great Blue Herons. The Eagles soar in the thermals which are in the area of the Bluff and can usually be seen there. We often see 4 or 5 bald eagles, far up in the sky, from our front window.

thanks Alex, - well, it doesn't compare with Fella's eagle shots, but it's my first one where you can actually make out details on the eagle : )

thanks very much, Mary in Kent. It's my first Eagle shot where you can actually "see" the eagle : ) but not as good as Fella's, who has spectacular bald eagle shots. But will keep trying : ) I do like the tree bark and lichen also tho'.
