About This Image

Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas. I chose this image to represent some of the "hair-raising" events of the last year and the look of trepidation and uncertainty that are conveyed in those big eyes. A new year that may be uncertain or even scary as doom-sayers are predicting, and how our decisions and actions may impact the futures of our youngest citizens.
