It's a bird . . . it's a plane . . . .naaahhhhh, it's an "arrow-gator"!!!
I knew there was a gator in the creek, but it was so well camoflaged on this log that I almost missed it with the reflection creating this arrow-like illusion! This has not been retouched. I thought you might enjoy the touch of whimsey here.

Thank you, Julie and Alex. I was about 8 feet from it, across the creek. Unlike crocodiles, alligators cannot leap out of water, and there's a steep drop off where I was standing. Still, the Great Blue Heron standing nearby wasn't looking any too happy to see it there. Vicki
