Old tools seem to work the best for me. Not sure why
but this shovel has been a work-horse in my little
yard for many years and before that. I grab for it
without thought. Oh, I love buying new tools and looking at them and use them for a while,but I seem
to go back to the old tools that have been around for
sometime. This shovel rests under the arbour and among
the flowers. It fits well there as it was the tool
that helped me plant those colorful blooms. I guess
old and aged is not so bad after all.

Hi Alan. Thank you for viewing and leaving a comment on this capture of my old shovel. Does look like it needs a bit of tender care. I think you are supposed to oil the metal. Not sure. Humm?

What a different and fun photo. The flowers are so pretty and I bet their scared that their going to be dug up LOL.. It looks like you need to get digging more, the shovel is all rusty. :-) ~Alan~

Hi Talsi. Thank you for viewing and leaving a comment. Yes, I really can't recall buying this shovel. I think it is younger then me though. :-) It sure has been of value to many tasks around my home. I believe it's because it is a spade and you can get the ground to move nicely. Well, I have even had to use it to dig my car out of the snow on occasion. I could go on but I won't...lol It's useful.
