This was on a fence battern right up under the mountain, in quite a damp shadowed area, Ive seen it on the mountain before but not this low down, looked very pretty.

Beautiful moss, lorraine. So airy looking. I agree, TravelynWoman - it does remind one of tumbleweed. *g* Great picture, lorraine.

Thanks Vicki for looking in, this was alive and growing attached to the post, if you pulled it off I'd say it would sit on a saucer with out any trouble, it's quite small really.

How large is this, Lorraine? It reminds me of tumbleweed in Nevada - which is a real nuisance during their frequent sandstorms. But they are dry, this looks quite alive and feathery. I like it. Vicki
