this was such a neat sight that drifted slowly towards us that evening, the kids had lashed some logs together and were towing a dinghy behind the raft, and the dogs were balancing on the raft, and dogs fell in several times as we watched, but the kids set them back on raft again. In the larger version, you can see the kids all laughing.
The dogs "jumped in" when they drifted closer to our dogs who were swimming nearby : )

Hi Alan, thanks. It was a cute scene. They are actually just a couple of logs, tied together, guess the kids made it. Am not that proud of this one, -- I have another one here where I straightened the horizon, so it looks better : ) At the time I put this first one up, didn't know how to do that, as this was captured in 2004.

What a fun photo and one to Cherish for sure. It almost looks like the dogs are standing on a big log.

thanks Carol, happy memories from a year ago at the local beach. Haven't been there for the dogs to swim this summer yet, as Lucy (Lab) had an ear infection, so we are somewhat hesitant to let her get water in her ears.
