About This Image

Charlie is a male Maine Coon Cat rescued as a two-year old from an animal shelter in November 2013.  The Maine Coon Cat is one of the largest domestic cats with characteristics that set them apart from other breeds.  They have long hair tufts on the tips of their ears and between their foot pads.  The paws are very large.  They are covered with  long hair on their bodies and long tails.   Average weights range from 15 to 25 pounds.  They  are sometimes referred to as gentle giants.

Yes, I like to say we needed each other. He needed a home and I needed a companion after my two elderly cats died within seven days of each other. They were 17 and 14 years old.
