Wyoming Sunset

We were on the western edge of Teton National Park, looking for a camping spot. I came around a bend, saw this sight, jammed on the brakes, jumped out of the truck, ran a little way up the slope and snapped this one off. Ten seconds later, it was gone. One of my favorite shots.

Thanks Deb and all. It is my favorite of all the photos I have ever taken. This was back in the film days and I had to wait quite awhile to get it processed. I knew it was going to be a good one if I hadn't goofed it up somehow.

Wow - luckily this photo came up on the side bar thumbnail so I noticed it. It's very dramatic and quite unusual :)

I'm glad it waited too. As we were driving toward this spot, I knew a great photo op was about to occur. We just happened to arrive at the right place at the right time.

I'm sure glad the light waited long enough for your camera, Gary. It is gorgeous

Yes it is. The beauty around us passes us by very quickly, doesn't it? I'm glad I was there for this moment in time. It is one I won't forget.

Isn't it interesting how fragile nature is? In 10 seconds, this beauty was gone.
