Hmmm, What Have We Here?

While trying to get hummer images, this doe walked calmly around my house on wheels. Finding nothing edible that she fancied, she started looking at my camera and casually walked over to check out it's potential!

Very cool to get that close Vicki! A beautiful shot of her. I love having deer around to watch, they are graceful critters. Don

Thank you Carol and lorraine. I have a hunch that this one will eat out of our hands. She came close enough for me to pet. Vicki

Thank you for commenting, Beverly, Alex and Alan. All of us agree that it's a treat to see so many of the beautiful creatures totally at ease around us. No hunting is allowed in these woods and they seem to know it. Even large dogs don't seem todisturb them. Right now, my primary concern is for the fawns who have yet to learn caution when crossing the surprisingly busy narrow roads. So far we haven't seen any killed by cars, but most people know to drive cautiously and watch close. Most of the time the adults wait at the side of the road for vehicles to pass by and then cross over. Amazing. Vicki
