I love Lake Blanche. It's so close to the city, yet it seems like it could be a thousand miles away from any civilization - especially if you travel slightly past the lake in the basin along the trail towards Sundial Peak (be sure to check out the waterfalls along the way).

The colors are beautiful and the silhouettes add interest.
