Carol, Steve, Vicki, Lorraine, Alex,Plumeriagrl, and Alandra .....thank you all for your comments/feedback.

Alandra, I think you are right about Chives. I'll have to change that. I was aware of the part in the foreground and knew I could clone it out..but I preferred to leave it that way for this photo. :)

in agreement with the others comments, but would have corrected the faded out parts in foreground :) (with the clone brush) I often get that with various telephoto lenses, when twigs etc get in the way in the foreground. These look very much like Chives. If you want to continue having the chives to use in various salads etc, you must snip the flowers off.(if that's what they are :)

You are right the DOF is wonderful as the selective focus is placed perfectly where it is supposed to be. Nice rich warm contrasting colors that make a beutifully stunnig design.

Nice shot, Mary! Carol, I think it's called differential focus, but it's quite possible that I made that up!! :)

Very nice capture with the one plant vivid and clear and the others blur into the background, if you see what I mean anyways I love the effect when a photo comes out like that.

There must be a technical name for it.
