My Dad

I have always wanted to do something like this for him, My dad passed away 8 years ago after a 6 month fight with cancer, a true practical joker and always a twinkle in those blue eyes, almost to the very end.

Thankyou Bernie, he was a bit of a joker, we hope he went that way, he did want a crowbar the day before he died, maybe in case the gates were a bit rusty? he always saw the funny side of things, even when he was ill for a while.

Thanks Jenny and Shawna,I'm so pleased you like it, he was a bit of a hard case, could see the silly side in most things, a bit of a joker. Thanks for your comments and looking in.

Lorraine, this is beautiful. I'm sure your father would love it very much. It's very touching and made me feel happy and sad. We recently lost my mother-in-law to cancer as well. It's amazing how many lives this disease has affected. My thoughts are with you. Thank you for sharing your tribute with us.. ~Shawna

How lovely. I lost mine to cancer, too. He was an old man, 87 when he died, but he didn't want to leave until he reached 100.

a lovely tribute to your Dad, Lorraine. My Dad also died from the same thing, - he didn't tell anyone he had it, we only learned about it a few days before he died.
