: Great Horned Owl's steady Gaze, in the wild; great horned owl gazing at me. In the wild, in our area. Beautiful bird. I was all alone there in this spot last evening, it was wonderful, just me and the owl, not a soul around for a good half hour! thanks for the nice comments, Knapperbill. Hope you will soon get to capture a good shot of the owls in your area. I have to learn more about the lighting for my shots of them, as they usually start waking up around sundown, and the light in the wooded areas is not that great.
