FDR Mall and temporary lake

FDR Mall and temporary lakeThis is in City Park, New Orleans. It was built by the WPA as part of the New Deal of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It includes a nice oak lined street and monuments such as this Eagle. FDR himself came to City Park with the mayor of New Orleans for the grand opening of this road. The road leads straight through City Park which by the way is owned by the state and not the city.
