Hi Carol and Steve. We've been fortunate to get some great campground positions in the summer. This one, two miles from the Watkins Glen race track, is a popular 'destination campground'. In other words, most of our campers spend very little time here - most spend the day touring the 50+ wineries, the many waterfalls, come for the races, to see the Finger Lakes or spend time sailing on them. For those who opt to stay put and relax, we have great facilities as well as a large indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi, fishing ponds, hiking trails and excellent playgrounds.

We have 30 Kamping Kabins, with more to come, and sites for 120 RVs as well as a terrific tent area. The owner moved the three Kabins to make more room for some of the larger RVs and Motorhomes. We have a large wooded area and he likes the Kabins to be in those areas as they can have more privacy and more space. The three he moved were fairly close together and backed onto the campground entrance, a creating a lot of noise around them when the campground is busy which some of the campers complained about.

KOA is a huge campground chain throughout the US and Canada. It stands for Kampgrounds of America. This weekend we had a German couple who found us in a 20-year-old directory! They're in the US for 2 weeks, tenting to save money. Vicki

Hi Lorraine. These cabins are pleasant. There are four styles at this KOA. The one above is a one-room unit with a double bed and a set of bunks.The next one up has 2 rooms - one room with a double bed and the other with 2 sets of bunks. The third, has an L-shaped room with a futon, TV, plustable and chairs up front, a set of bunks in the 'L' with a small fridge and coffee maker. A bathroom is across from the bunks with a toilet, sink and shower. The top cabin has 2 rooms and the same bath with the sink in the bedroom. The front room has a futon, TV, table and chairs and full kitchen including toaster, microwave, coffeepot, stove, sink, dishes, pots and pans. The bedroom has a double bed with a single bunk above it.

All of the Kamping Kabins have air conditioning, heat and front porches with swings plus grills. All 4 sizes are popular and book up quickly. Vicki
