With the changing face of the city and a rapid growth of high rise buildings in our immediate vicinity, I told one of my friends: now they can easily look down upon us!

The Gulmohar seen by many in this gallery, is in full bloom. The tree with pale green leaves is the Kanchan, the flowers of which are very much sought after by parakeets and humming birds.

Sadly, it died last year.

Well, I don't really know whether these small birds are really humming birds. They are very quick and difficult to even snap, so a zoom shot makes it even more difficult. I think they are more likely to be sun birds. I will post a photo when it is good and clear.
