my pleasure, Steve. well, the herons very often do take off before I can get a shot, and it wasn't long ago that I thought it would be hopeless (for me) to capture images like this - but have kept trying, and there are so many herons in this area, that eventually it started happening :) Have to add, that I make lots of mistakes too.

hi again Steve. about the heron photo, - think it was about 50 feet away from us, beyond a fence. Will pay more attention to the distance next time we are there. I cropped the heron's head from a regular image, for this closer view.
