Great action shot! The downward wings and the fanned tail feathers are lovely. Hope he doesn't catch one of your birds or squirrel friends. I went out to the patio and told the hawk that it wasn't allowed to hunt there. It took one look at me and flew away and I haven't seen it since.

thanks very much, Carol, Alex and Jas for such nice comments. This fella comes by here each day and dives right into the various shrubs after the poor little birds, then he struts around on the lawn beneath the shrubbery, still hoping to catch one of them. So far I haven't seen him get anything.
