about the fountain, Alex, meant to add, that the chickadee was bathing in that little water bubble there yesterday : ) Not sure if I captured that or not. The finish has worn off the fountain from so much use (water running over it over the years)

thanks everyone, Carol, Mary and Alex. He was making a lot of noise, so it was a lucky shot to get his mouth open : ) maybe he was telling me off, as he could see me at the window, and he probably wanted to get to his food which hangs at the other end of front window : ) Noticed as soon as I stopped shooting and closed window, they were back at their feeder under the eaves by front window.

This is wonderful! Again, the textures and colours- stone and water great. And his face! Looking directly forward with an open mouth! Brilliantly caught!
