Fountains at Metairie Cemetery

This is at Metairie cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana. The cemetery was a race track. Mr. Howard was not allowed to be in the Jockey Club so he bought the race track and made a cemetery of it. It is interesting the revenge that he got has gone to serve the public. I mentioned the fountains to my Mom, a life long resident of New Orleans and she did not know of them. Even if you truely live life in an area, you might not get to know all about it. Oh by the way, Mr. Howard is buried in the cemetery. SOme day, I will get a picture of his grave.

Thanks, it may sound strange but I love the cemetery.
