Relaxing in the Paddock

The grass in the paddock is getting rather long. Bianca and I had some fun relaxing in the long grass where no one (except the cat) could find us. I converted the photo to black and white just for something a little different.

Mel, all I did was convert it to black and white. I'd never noticed that it looked soft. I have already printed it but only at 8x10 and then it looks a little dark. Looked better when printed on my computer.

So beautiful! You have captured her well. I love the softening effect it has, was that how the image turned out, or did you actually soften it? You have to print this one as large as you can! Mel.

I love the expression and I love B&W, but my eyes go right to her feet.

Printed it today! Could do with a little lightening though as it appears better on screen. The people at the camera shop were quite impressed. I took three of them in but this one is the best of them.

I agree with all the others - this one MUST be printed!!! I too love the B&W. You have a real talent Lurene!! And a beautiful model ;-)

Thanks Talsi, I appreciate your comment. It can be quite hard getting a portrait that doesn't look "posed". I guess a lot of it depends on how relaxed the model is with what they are doing. My model was very relaxed (anything to get off cleaning her room).

A wonderful portrait - so relaxed looking.

Hi Alandra. Funny you say that about Jessica as certain photos I have seen in your gallery of her always reminded me of Bianca. Both are quite sporty and love dance also from what I gather.

am echoing all the other comments, Lulu. Really great capture of Bianca. She reminds me of Jessica somehow, in this one - (my "grand")

Thanks Tania. I have been thinking of getting this one printed - you just convinced me its a good idea.

This one should be on the wall Lulu. Bianca is turning into a stunning young lady and a beautiful model for you. I also love it in B&W

Thanks Lorraine and Steve for your positive comments. You are right that this just didn't look as good in colour.

A very well taken portrait, and I agree with Lorranie that B&W really suits this and strengthens it. The image really conveys a sense of relaxation.

lovely girl, looks great this image in B/W, I dont think it would be as strong in colour, ex shot.
