Recital

I got to go to my Granddaughters dance recital and take a few pics on Sunday. I got a few nice ones, even with bad lighting. It took place on a small stage at an indoor fleamarket. I really liked this shot as she stood on stage waiting to start her little dance routine. She carries her mothers beauty in my eyes. She reminds me so much of her in all ways, it is like a trip back in time for me. And a wonderful trip it is. I thought the 'old photo effect' was just right for this one. Thanks for looking, Don

A very familiar sight to me - having a dancer in the family myself. A beautiful portait of a very pretty wee girl. I only wish I could get some as great as this of my daughter. I am usually just limited to her practice time and we aren't allowed cameras at recitals as it is theatre ettiquite (sp). Great job!

late again, Don :) What a lovely little "Grand" she is! - echoing all the other comments. We've been attending our grand's dance recitals for some years also. Aren't grand daughters wonderful, - as you say, they bring so many memories with them. As I often tell people, the love we feel for our children seems to be Doubled with our children's children.

What a beautiful young lady. Her eyes looking trustfully out at the world. An attrace border that brightens the beauty of those eyes!!! A wonderful picture.

Thanks Mary and Steve for the nice comments. No sweat Steve, I appreciate your input on the border. I guess to me it is appealing because it reminds me so much of some old photos I have of her Mother when she was that age. It is a little hoakie I suppose :-). Don

A very gentle portrait of a very beautiful young lady. I like the sepia tones, although I wouldn't myself have done the border thing - sorry!
