Garden Snake

A little snake I found in my Mom's pond garden. He posed for a minute then got scared off by a kid.

Nicely framed by the green leaves with good detail and color. I think it is either a garter snake or a ribbon snake. They like to eat tadpoles and small fish.

Ah! You caught the tongue flick.

Lucky you. I get some great photos of snakes but have never been able to get the flick right.

Good for you!

Nice shot, those are unusually friendly snakes most of the time. Good capture, Don
