Bats

Bats

One morning, during a recent trip to a farm in the midwest, I saw what appeared to be bats flying around an old barn. I needed some bat photos so I grabbed my camera and walked over. You can imagine my disappointment when I discovered they weren't bats at all, just common butterflies. I grabbed a quick shot and moved on.

Hi Alandra, Let me know if you want the tutorials and I'll send them to you. You have to email me directly so I can attach the files to my return message. They are only valid for Photoshop, all versions including elements. Thanks for commenting.

great work, Doug. It sounds quite complicated. I'd love the tutorials, but I use Paint Shop Pro version XI photo.

Hi Jeannette, Thank you for your kind comments on this. These require a little patience to make but are not terribly difficult. If you would like a copy of the tutorials I made up, send me an email and I'll attach them to my reply. I'm currently in northern Illinois and won't be back to California for a couple of weeks. The tutorials are on file there.

Best Wishes, Doug

Hi Whittler,

I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on this. This is one from mt "trip to the edge of the world," series. Lovely model Crystal was added to a barn photo, taken in NW Illinois, along with the butterfly wings. Wings and barn were recolored, and shadows added, this is a cropped version of the original larger image.
