thanks for the info, Fella. With the teleconverter I got, it wont autofocus, so that makes this more difficult. Am checking to see if another one might work better on autofocus on the 20D.

evelyn whittler ..glad yal liked him ..yes indeed a;andra ..used the zoom like yrs 100-400mm .. idont if my kind of shooting is ready for a primary lens ..cause i use the zoom soooooooooooooo much tryin to keep these beautys in frame .. ya know when they fly over head and ya try to keep the biggest pic possible while in frame for clarity n crispness ..zoom works great for that sliding in n out stayin on the subject while keepin cam focused by pressing shutter button half way down to keep in focus while panning for the shot ya like ..this guy here was about 40ft away ..soo was pretty close ..thanks for asking

Yes it looks to be a young golden, but not a juvy any more.

Juvenile raptors (less then 3 years of age) have red eyes.
