thanks for the info, Fella. you did a fabulous job of these. am really impressed!! I couldn't really see how you could've/wuld've used a tripod, as knowing what these bald eagles are like, and the movement/speed was so great, and was wondrin how you'd swing around that fast (tripod and all, LOL, without gettin tangled up :) - at least, that goes for how I'd be - but had to ask to make sure.

feel the same way you do, re the tripods, & like to have the free-er movement for these shots.(if I ever get to see any : ) - haven't been down to the "eagle area" for awhile. but am gettin very antzy now to see some again, after seein your shots

no i used my 50 500mm sigma ex lens.. i have a 70-300mm is canon lens .but the sigma is a little faster on the auto focus ..no never used a tripod ..wouldnt be able to keep up with the flight of this eagle with a tripod..so i just had the cam set on a fast shutter speed to freeze the action ..this is what i got ..fella
