Cedar Waxwing thru Double Paned glass

Cedar Waxwing captured thru double paned glass of our solarium. Knew if I went outside, these birds would fly away. There were 3 of the Cedar Waxwings there that day. They ventured down to the fountain in back garden, and enjoyed bathing. Thought it better to capture the images thru glass than not at all.

thankyou Carol. I am always happy to see these birds visiting again, each summer. Haven't seen them since, but we've been out the past 2 afternoons.

many thanks, Alan and Janice for the nice comments. Alan, you're right, the double paned glass does give the bird a soft look, but in reality, the feathers are soooo smooth in the first place, so the glass window panes just added to it.

Added to this, the glass has got condensation between the double layers in some areas, so that has added to the bit of blurriness in some parts of the image.

Later I tried to avoid shooting thru those areas and think I got some better shots than this one. will put some other images up of these waxwings soon.

What a great photo of the pretty bird.. Your photo came out great even through the glass. I call doing that using the window filter to give the photos a soft look LOL.. Your so lucky to have a nice variety of birds around your house. Great Job!!
