Yes, it is a white butterfly bush. I'm not sure if it has the same scent, because I have 2 white ones, a pink one, a couple lavender ones and a couple deep purple ones. The scent is everywhere, and I don't know if they all have it or are just "sharing". (I guess I could go out and poke my nose right in the white blossoms...)

I love the butterfly bushes - they grow SO fast, and when we moved in here last year, it was just a steep lot filled with WEEDS back there. And this year, it's a BUTTERFLY Haven!

The purple variety always brings back memories of childhood at my aunt's in England, that's why we always grow them : ) --(as well as attracting the butterflies and hummingbirds : ) thanks.
