Bison

This bison is a prime example of why you need a telephoto lens, which incidentally will be my next camera equipment purchase. My longest lens is 80mm, which rendered an animal almost too small to see in the uncropped version of this picture. The picture you see was not resized, just cropped from the original and is not suitable for a print larger than maybe 2 inches.

Bison are awesome creatures. The next time I visit Yellowstone, I'm going to take along a nice telephoto lens to due justice to these majestic creatures.

It's dust that was kicked up by the animal.
