A beautiful bird - and Vincent's comments add to the whole aspect. SInce reading more about Herons and Egrets I find it fascinating to learn aboout the subjects behind their outward appearance.

So pretty Beverly I miss breeding these beautful finches this is a healthy subject judging by its clean feet and the tip of the beak is reddening telling me it is coming into breeding condition.You have done this bird justice in that it is a well taken photo in my eyes.
