Don, we call them rock doves over here, too. Except most people refer to them as those d*** pigeons!! :)

I've never heard them called Feral pigeons either Steve. We sometimes call them Rock Doves. You captured him beautifully. The iridescent feathers show up nicely. Don

We also have them here, but it would be quite rare to see them down on the street, they keep there distance, other towns over here might be quite different. nice capture, I quite like them.

I never knew that there were "feral" Pigeons but I did look it up on google.com! :) Nice capture Steve. We have a lot of these in our downtown area of Pittsburgh. Lots of people feed them. In fact the state bred Peregrine Falcons in the Gulf Tower,downtown Pittsburgh,which would eliminate some of the pigeon population. Lots of people consider them a nuisance...I don't.
