'Beauty of Livermere' is a popular perennial species of the Oriental Poppy, a fine sight when the large bowl-shaped flowers are open in early summer. Unfortunately it loses its appeal when flowering is over.

Height; 36ins, Spreads; 18ins, Flowering time; May-July.

I brought three varieties for my new herbaceous border, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the other two bloom as well.

To view it's true beauty I would recommend the large image, all the three images were taken in Macro.
