: American Alligator in Tamiami Canal, Florida; I never knew that alligators only use their huge tails to propel themselves through the water. Thank you Tania, Steve and Alex. I was just glad to be able to get one to 'pose' and confirm the swimming pattern! And Steve, this time I was ssafely on a boardwalk at the Oasis Visitor Center of the Big Cypress National Preserve! I'm not that eager to 'oblige' your desire for gator images!!!! What's even more ooky to ponder is that after they drag their victims back into the water and drown them, they hide their future meal for a few days so it can soften up a bit to make them easier to swallow - yecchhh!!!
