Excellent photo Karen!! The dark background works great with the bird in the light. Hey it's not on it own, you are there doing a great job giving it some nice water to drink. :)

Thank you, Alandra, Mary and Carol. This guy still has scruffy feathers. Alandra, those are pieces of tile I use to add weight to the plastic birdbath.

good to see a mockingbird (when my sister was little, she used to call them "hollicking birds" : ) - she heard the name in a song I guess, - just remembered that. have never seen these. what's in the dish that they feed on?
