Hi Alex and Jas, Thanks again for your really nice comments, I really appreciate them.. I like the colors too Jas, they change with age. I think your right Alex, LOL It would be like skinning a porcupine.. I have never tried eating them but I think you can if your really hungry and thirsty. They even come with hundreds of tooth picks.

Lovely shot of the cactus blooms Alan! The shape of the petals look a bit prickly and I love the pink tips to the petals too. :)

Hi Mary, Thanks so much for your wonderful thoughts. They do look fragile but they are pretty tough. The tips of the petals will poke you if you touch them just right. I'm glad you liked my photo.

Very pretty blossoms on that cactus Alan,great shot.Is that cactus edible and does it taste like a pear?I'll bet you never peeled one,it looks like as much fun as skinnin a porcupine.LOL

An absolutely beautiful capture of these fragile flowers. They look like frosted glass...so delicate looking.
